Bulletin 1 2005
To
everyone at the Mini Olympics netball on Wednesday,
I hope you all had
fun and that there weren't too many aches and pains. The evening was a great
success and it really looked like everyone was having a lot of fun and getting
stuck into the game (the men in particular!). Congratulations to the winners
Big Macs and EastEnders in 2nd place. The results are now on the intranet.
Now that you've all seen how enjoyable it is maybe you'd like to come along to the ICR/RMH netball club (women only - sorry guys!)
We train on a Wednesday evening at Nonsuch (we will be indoors from sept onwards) from 6-8 and a typical training session consists of 20 minutes of warming up, 20-30 minutes of ball skills and the rest of the evening is spent playing a game. We have a professional coach (Tina, who you will have met last night) and have entered into two leagues for the winter which everyone is welcome to play in.
It's lots
of fun and a great way to keep fit - we welcome all levels from total beginner
and the main objective is to enjoy ourselves. It's also a great way to meet
people both from the Institute and the hospital.
If you need any
more info please let me know,
Thank you
to everyone who came along to play and support.
Kind regards
